Laughlin Large Guitar Model
- This is a large bodied guitar designed with flatpicking in mind.
It has a 25 1/2" scale length with a 16" lower bout width
- roughly dreadnaught size.
 - This guitar has a solid bottom end and a punchy midrange response.
 - Symmetrical, sculpted but not scalloped bracing brings out the
treble response and provides a more balanced
sound than a typical dreadnought.
The treble E and B strings have a trumpet-like timbre
instead of the twangy treble common in large bodied instruments.
 - A solid head with Schaller full-size or mini tuners is standard. Also available are light-weight Grover Sta-tite open-back tuners.
 - An oval rosette and sideport are standard.
 - The neck angle is set more like an acoustic arch-top or gibson electric which results in a relatively high string height at the bridge.
This has several advantages:

   - More power torqued into the top

 - Lots of pick clearance between the strings and the top

 - A more natural reach required by the left arm on the neck

 - A neck reset will never be required
